Sha

sha is an arpeggio. The string indicated for sha is played strongly as a grace note on the beat. The finger playing that note then plays the next string closer to the performer (the next highest string). Usually the next higher string is higher in pitch, but if the first note of the sha arpeggio is string 1, then string 2 is usually a lower pitch.
